    Sean Eckman was promoted to executive chef at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in April 2015 in recognition of his culinary creativity and leadership.

    “As executive chef, Eckman will oversee dining operations, management of over 200 associates and mastermind the resort’s award-winning Restaurant Collection’s menu creation, which includes the Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond Lautrec Restaurant, one of only 25 restaurants in the world to hold such awards simultaneously.”

    Chef Sean Eckman graduated with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania Academy of Culinary Arts in 2000 after completing his externship in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the Breakers (a Mobil Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond Hotel at the time).

    As an extern, he worked hard and was rewarded by being the only extern to be hired at L’Escalier, a fine dining restaurant on the resort’s property. Eckman stayed with the Breakers for eight years, working his way up to the position of banquet chef.

    In April 2008, Chef Eckman began his tenure at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort by accepting a position as chef de cuisine for Aqueous, one of the property’s fine dining restaurants. He was promoted to executive sous chef for fine dining in 2010, where he used his culinary expertise to enhance the fine dining experience for guests at Lautrec, Aqueous, and Autumn.
