    Background 

    B. Gail Wilson joined the Department of Communications Media in 1986 after working for several years in radio and television broadcasting. Her early responsibilities at IUP included serving as the faculty advisor for WIUP-FM and the National Broadcasting Society-Alpha Epsilon Rho. She teaches courses in media promotion and writing as well as the Senior Portfolio Presentation course. As past coordinator of the department’s PhD program in Communications Media and Instructional Technology, Wilson also teaches doctoral courses in communication pedagogy and crisis communication.

    Wilson came to IUP after completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in radio/television and communication at Morehead State University in Kentucky. Her doctorate is in administrative and policy studies in higher education from the University of Pittsburgh.

    Wilson is an avid sports fan, whose bucket list includes seeing the Pittsburgh Pirates play in every ballpark in the country.
