With over a decade of
professional broadcast journalism experience, Stephanie Keppich lends her
skill and industry insight to the Center for Media Production and Research.
Graduating with honors from the master’s program in Adult Education and
Communications Technology, Keppich began her university teaching career at
Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Communications Media in 2009.
Keppich worked as a reporter, producer, and anchor in five different television
markets from Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Indiana with her husband
after spending four years as the main anchor at the NBC affiliate in
Charlottesville, Virginia. Transitioning from on-air to a media relations position in
health care, Keppich built a diverse background in communications. Before
being hired as director of the CMPR, Keppich enhanced her experience
by working as a freelance writer, still photographer, and videographer. She has
also lent her voice-over skills to multiple promotional videos.
her short time with the CMPR, Keppich has overseen dozens of media
projects and led a group of students to win a national award for live
production of an IUP basketball game in the 2016 season. She is an approved
writing instructor at IUP and currently teaches COMM 360, Digital Sports Production.
