Day-Of Instructions for Graduate Students

  • To promote safety during the coronavirus pandemic, the spring 2020 commencement ceremonies have been postponed to September 12 and 13. A schedule of events for that weekend is expected to be available by mid-May. College and departmental ceremonies and other recognition events that typically coincide with commencement ceremonies will not take place that weekend.     Confirm Your Attendance Update

    To be eligible to participate in the September 12 ceremony, you must confirm your attendance. This will open on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, and close at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

  • Graduate University Commencement Ceremony

    Begins promptly at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020

    • Arrive at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex no later than 4:00 p.m.

    • Doors open for family and friends attending the ceremony at 3:30 p.m. 

    • Arrive prepared, dressed in your regalia (cap, gown, tassel, hood etc.).

    • Graduates will follow directional signage and use the dedicated, graduates-only entrance #21 located on the west/stadium side of the Kovalchick Complex.

    • Here are travel directions.

    • Parking is available.

    • Master’s-level graduates report to Loading Dock.

    • Doctoral and MFA-level graduates report to Conference Rooms 6 and 7.

    • A professional photography company will be on hand to take pictures. They will contact you by email within a few weeks following the ceremony.
