Bala Ramjee of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, will have a Zoom recruiting presentation for graduate school at 11:30 to 12:30 on Thursday, November 4. Students can attend either by coming to Weyandt 127 or on their computers, using the Zoom link.

All chemistry or biochemistry majors are encouraged to attend as we have an affiliation agreement with ODU.  If you have questions about or are interested in the affiliation agreement, please see Justin Fair before November 22, 2021.

Old Dominion University is a public research institution and is home to more than 24,000 students, including about 5,000 graduate students. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at ODU has 27 full-time faculty members, including 15 with active research groups, 40 graduate students, and several undergraduate researchers. The department recently moved into a new $76-million, state-of-the-art building and acquired several new instruments, such as a 600 MHz NMR and a scanning electron microscope.

This presentation will give an introduction to the exciting research opportunities and the facilities in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at ODU.
