Regina D. Stover '75

Dennis and Regina StoverAfter graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in business management, Regina Dressel Stover began her career at Mellon Bank, now BNY Mellon, in Pittsburgh. While working at BNY Mellon, Regina obtained her master of business administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Regina is a certified internal auditor, a certified bank auditor, and a certified fiduciary and investment risk specialist. During her long career at Mellon, Regina, who retired in November 2009 as a managing director, worked in numerous senior management positions in internal auditing and risk management. Nationally recognized as an expert on fiduciary and investment management risk, she spoke frequently at industry conferences, seminars, and meetings. Regina is a past member of the faculty for the Central Atlantic School of Trust and Investment Management at Bucknell University, the New England School of Banking at Williams College, and Robert Morris University.

Regina has been recognized with the Distinguished Alumna Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Business Alumni Board at the University of Pittsburgh for her leadership work with the Business Alumni Board and the Business Alumnae Council. She has also been named a Distinguished Alumna of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Hall of Distinction Awardee at the Eberly College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

During her career and retirement, Regina has served on numerous boards, including past trustee at Carlow University, past member of the Business Advisory Board of the Eberly College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, past member of the board of directors of Legatus of Pittsburgh, past chair of the Audit Committee and past member of the Pastoral Council of Our Lady of Grace Church, past chair of the Pitt Business Alumni Association and member of the board of directors of the Pitt Alumni Association, and past member of the Panther Fan Experience Committee of Pitt Athletics. She currently serves as a vice president, trustee, and chair of the Governance Committee for the Foundation for IUP, as a member of the Financial Advisory Board for the Sisters of St. Joseph, as a member of the board of directors of Villa St. Joseph, as vice chair and member of the board of directors of the Diocese of Pittsburgh Campaign for the Church Alive!, as a member of the Champions Advisory Board at the University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department, and as a member of the National Campaign Cabinet for Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Along with her husband, Dennis, Regina established endowed scholarship funds at the University of Pittsburgh, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Carlow University, and Our Lady of Grace School (now Ave Maria Academy). They have also funded a Business Speakers Series at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Both Dennis and Regina strongly believe that their commitment to life-long learning has contributed significantly to their success and happiness. They are pleased to be able to help others achieve success.

Encouraged to read at a young age, Regina combines her love of books with her love of travel. Dennis and Regina have visited many of the places, including all seven continents, brought to life in the books that they have read. When at home, Regina enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
