Michele O’Leary, CPA, is a native of Pittsburgh and attended North Allegheny High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from IUP in 1994.
Michele has over 20 years of experience in public accounting. She is an assurance managing director with BDO USA, LLP, where she specializes in working with nonprofit organizations. Her practice includes providing audit, accounting, and consulting services to organizations in the Pittsburgh region. Prior to joining BDO, Michele was a senior manager with Alpern Rosenthal.
Michele is actively involved in several local nonprofit organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, the Board of Management for Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp, and the Board of Directors of Contemporary Craft. She also volunteers as an instructor for the Bayer Center of Nonprofit Management.
Michele lives in the Regent Square neighborhood of Pittsburgh with her husband, Dave, and two teenage children, Liv and Nathan.
In her spare time, Michele enjoys skiing throughout the country and loves to kayak the lakes and rivers of Western Pennsylvania.
