Dan is an assurance partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the leader of the Houston marketplace (Southern Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana) Power, Utilities, and Midstream Team. Dan is responsible for developing and guiding strategy, working collaboratively with clients and colleagues to identify solutions and to build long-term relationships. Dan is an accomplished, passionate business leader and dedicated professional with 19 years of practical and in-depth leadership experience working with the largest of U.S. corporations as well as private equity funds. He is known as having a very collaborative approach, being very responsive, and having sound judgment.

As a leader of the Power, Utilities, and Midstream team, Dan has responsibility for managing an approximately $100-million practice in this energy sub-sector with a team comprised of 22 partners and over 60 other professionals who serve global energy clients in the fields of assurance, tax, and advisory consulting. In this capacity, Dan identifies service offerings for which PwC is best credentialed, develops branding strategies, leverages resources across the region to enhance value for existing clients, and targets new accounts.

As a lead global audit partner on several national and international accounts, Dan provides quality audit service in full compliance with PCAOB Auditing and SEC Reporting Standards. Dan utilizes expertise in energy, power and utilities, and industrial products industries to counsel clients (senior executives) on the production of high-quality financial statements, implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, and compliance with SEC an NYSE regulations. In addition, Dan assists private equity-backed companies, as well as other private entities seeking incremental capital from public markets, with equity offerings and highly-leveraged bank financings.

Dan is actively engaged with independent directors (audit committees), providing perspective related to complex business problems and perspectives on the implementation of cost-efficient approaches to achieve compliance with SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting regulations. Dan provides thought leadership to enhance shareholder value through profitability optimization, consideration of effective U.S. and global tax strategies, and cash flow considerations.

As a previous member of PwC's Chief Auditor Network, Dan was responsible for assisting teams in designing and delivering audits in full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. He also assists engagement teams while they were being inspected by the PCAOB. In this capacity, Dan consulted with engagement teams on the appropriate interpretation and application of U.S. and international accounting and financial reporting literature, and he presented to engagement and management teams on compliance risks associated with recent regulatory developments.

During his tenure with PwC, Dan worked for two years out of its London, U.K. offices. Dan served as a U.S. auditing, accounting, and financial reporting expert. In this capacity, he worked with large global entities with significant European operations, assisting them in understanding and complying with U.S. regulatory requirements associated with financial filings. Dan also presented to numerous senior management teams on the considerations of relevance to their financial reporting and the associated risks and responses related to their registrations in the U.S. markets.

Dan is currently completing an executive MBA program at Texas A&M University. He graduated cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an undergraduate degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant licensed in Pennsylvania, Texas, Oklahoma, and California. Dan currently serves on the Development Committee of Interfaith of the Woodlands (social services organization) and the Sterling Ridge Village Association Board (elected position) and is actively involved in assisting GirlUP (United Nations Foundation) in developing a presence in Texas. Dan is also a past board member of the YMCA Advisory Committee of Pittsburgh, Pa., and One to One Citizen's Advocacy, Beaver County.
