Tom Wagner is the senior director of Innovation, Technology, and Engineering for Philips Respironics, which creates and markets solutions to treat sleep and respiratory diseases. Tom's role is to lead the innovation function, which includes technology development, engineering, and overall innovation capabilities and best practices. Tom also serves as a member of the executive leadership team locally at Philips Respironics as well as part of an overall innovation leadership team for Royal Philips, based in the Netherlands.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1984. He worked as an electrical engineer at Contraves USA in Pittsburgh before joining then-Respironics in 1993. Since joining Respironics, Tom was part of the leadership team that helped grow Respironics into a world leader in sleep and respiratory solutions and continues today as an acquired business within Philips. During his time with Philips Respironics, Tom has held various senior leadership roles, including director of Service Operations, vice president of Operations, vice president/general manager of Patient Interface, and senior director of New Product Development for Obstructive Sleep Apnea products. Tom's overall leadership experience includes the functional areas of new product development, quality, product marketing, manufacturing (U.S. and Asia), global sourcing and supply chain, technical services, and information technology.
Tom has been a member of the Eberly Business Advisory Council for over 10 years. He resides here in Indiana, Pa., where he and his family are active in the community and operate a small business.
