Dr. Scherrer currently serves the North Allegheny School District as the acting superintendent. He began his career in education as a teacher at Baldwin High School and held administrative positions in the Woodland Hills SD, Peters Township SD, and Pittsburgh Public Schools.
In addition to his IUP degrees, Dr. Scherrer earned his DEd in Administrative and Policy Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Over the years he has been an active member of numerous professional organizations and associations and has presented at a number of national, state, and regional conferences.
