On Saturday, April 8, 2017, Indiana University of Pennsylvania hosted the fifth Pittsburgh Asia Consortium (PAC) Undergraduate Student Research Conference. Undergraduate students were invited to present their research on Asia, and this was an invaluable opportunity for them to meet other students interested in Asia, hone their presentation skills, and get feedback on their work.

Presentations could be from any discipline, and on any part of geographical Asia, including the Middle East. Most students presented their work in the form of 10- to 15-minute oral presentations as part of a traditional panel with a faculty discussant. Posters and other forms of presentation were also welcome.

Presenters

All students must have a faculty sponsor, who need not be present at the conference.

Registration

All participants and attendees must register, but registration is free. This will be a one-day conference, but arrangements will be made for overnight stays in Indiana, which is a bit over an hour east of Pittsburgh. There are a variety of hotels in town, or student presenters may be able to stay with IUP students.
