    The jewelry and metals program encourages collaborative thinking, linking creativity with techniques.

    Emphasis is placed on self-motivation, independence, research, investigation, exploration, and the ability to execute. Students are encouraged to seek their own unique perspective. Course structure is designed to combine mastery of techniques with investigation of current ideology in the arts intended to develop the highest level of self-expression and professionalism. The metals studio is equipped for working in a wide variety of traditional and contemporary techniques specific to the discipline.
