Abigail Adams is a cultural anthropologist specializing in political conflict and human rights, and medical anthropology.
Adams specializes in medical anthropology, human rights and political conflict, public anthropology, identity politics, postcolonial theory, urbanization and
transnationalism, borderlands, human sexuality, reproductive health and
technologies, personhood in cross-cultural perspective, and ethics in
scientific advancements. Her geographic focus is the US Southwest and Latin America. She is also skilled in ethnographic video production.
