Promising Scholars Weekend
Sunday, December 8 - Monday, December 9, 2019
Indiana University of Pennsylvania – Indiana Campus
The Promising Scholars Weekend is a two-day overnight visit program
designed for academically talented students who were awarded the Board
of Governor’s Scholarship. The weekend provides invited students and
their parents with the opportunity to visit
our beautiful campus and meet some of our amazing faculty, staff and
current students. You will also be able to build relationships with
other recipients of the Board of Governor Scholarship who are strongly
considering attending IUP.
There will be a special dinner reception during the first evening of
the visit where graduating scholars will be honored. Select scholars
will provide encouraging remarks and words of wisdom to future student
scholars considering IUP. This campus visit
is connected to an Experience IUP Day event so it provides admitted
students with the opportunity to meet faculty, tour campus and their
academic departments, learn about support services, and meet other
admitted students considering IUP. This is
a powerful weekend that you do not want to miss.
