Visit as a Transfer

  • Performing Arts Center under trees in the IUP Oak Grove
  • Visit IUP, and discover the campus, the opportunities, the activities, and the professors that await you here.

As a transfer student, you will have some questions and concerns that differ from those of a first-time student. Select one of these visit options, and we’ll walk you through how it works.

    Total Transfer Day

These special programs are focused on transfer transfer students. You’ll have a personal appointment where you can learn about your credits, apply, and be admitted before you leave.

    Saturday Open Houses

These large group programs include information sessions with the colleges and departments, as well as a campus tour, student life fair, and academic marketplace. Transfer counselors are readily available to talk with you at multiple stops on your tour.

Weekday Small Group Presentation and Campus Tour

These small group presentations provide general information about IUP, and current students take visitors on a campus tour. We recommend transfer students also make an appointment with a transfer counselor in order to get personalized information, if possible. Contact Transfer Services after you have scheduled your small group visit for assistance.

    Experience IUP

These special programs for admitted students include a transfer specific session. Students also get to talk to current students and get to see their academic department up close. Fine Arts students must attend to complete their auditions/interview/portfolio reviews.

    Individual Transfer Appointments

Students may call the Transfer Services office at 724-357-5553 to arrange an individual appointment with a transfer counselor to discuss the credit evaluation process and other concerns.

Students who provide their final, official transcripts to IUP at least one week before these events will receive a copy of their credit evaluation during their visit. Download the Request for Pre-evaluation of Transfer Credit form.
