Nursing major Mirian Lua chose IUP because of the Cook Honors College and scholarships that have helped to pay her way. She says she enjoys the exposure she has had to people of diversity on a campus where people learn to share their differences.
“IUP is a place where you can feel at home whether you live in town or six hours away. The faculty, students, and surrounding community make the small town of Indiana a welcoming, engaging, and secure environment to be a part of. The campus itself is
beautiful,” she said. “After the first two days at IUP, I realized that I made the right choice. As the days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I became aware that IUP and the community surrounding it is devoted to making college a great experience.”
