Culinary Visit Program Details

  • Each visit program offers you the opportunity to meet and get your questions answered by culinary faculty and students, tour our kitchen laboratories, and enjoy a cooking demonstration by our chef instructors. You'll also hear a presentation on our culinary program and degree options, externships,  career opportunities, and more.

    You'll have the option to take a tour of our campus housing and Living and Learning Center to see our computer labs, library, fitness center, suite-style campus housing, and dining facility.

    All visits take place at the Fairman Centre in Punxsutawney.

    Sample savory appetizers and sweet pastries at our food stations, and meet our students and faculty before you talk with admissions staff about the application process, financial aid, scholarships, housing, and more.

    You'll watch a culinary demo, get a close-up look at award-winning sugar and chocolate showpieces created by our Baking and Pastry faculty Chef Hilary DeMane and Chef Anthony Battaglia, and see our IUP Ice Carving Club in action, advised by Chef Thomas Barnes and Chef Richard Harber.

    Sample delicious bake shop sweets created by our baking students, watch a culinary demo, talk with our students, and get your questions answered during sessions with culinary and baking faculty.

    Please provide your name, address, phone number, year of high school graduation, and the number of guests planning to attend.

    Campus Map and Driving Directions

    Print a copy of our Directions to Fairman Centre. We will also mail you a confirmation letter with a map and general driving directions.

    Using GPS to find us? Enter 131 South Findley Street, Punxsutawney, PA  15767*. Our parking lot and culinary school entrance are located at the rear of the building.

    *If your GPS directs you to the East Mahoning Street (Punxsutawney’s main street) side of our building, turn south at the light onto South Findley Street (Allstate is on the corner). Look for the red and white awnings at the rear of the building. IUP parking is located in the lot adjacent to the entrance on the back side of the building.
