Wellness Works

  • Wellness Works is a campus wellness program for faculty and staff members. The mission of the Wellness Works program is to help IUP employees and their families improve their quality of life by providing information on health and wellness and by sponsoring health and wellness activities and programs. 

    Wellness Opportunities  

    The IUP Spring Health Fair is being held on Thursday March 23, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Blue Room in Sutton Hall, in partnership with IRMC. The IUP Health Fair is open to all IUP community members and will include free wellness screenings such as blood pressure, bone density, and body mass index. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Faculty, managers, coaches, OPEIU, and SPFPA employees covered under the Highmark PPO plan can earn 10 points for attending the IUP Health Fair.

    On-Site Health Screening

    By attending the Health Fair, employees will have the opportunity to sign up and register for free on-site biometric screenings sponsored by IRMC ,scheduled for April 13, 2017, including height, weight, blood pressure, body mass index, and multiphasic screening.

    Biometric Screening Results Review and Wellness Coaching

    In follow up to the free on-site biometric screening, IRMC will provide appointments to review results and/or appointments to meet with a certified health and wellness coach. The health coach will review results and make recommendations for lifestyle changes or follow up treatment if necessary. Appointments will be available by appointment only on April 25, 27, and 28.

    Employees can register for the On-site Health Screening, Results Review, and Wellness Coaching by logging onto Workforcehealth.com or calling the Corporate Wellness Office at IRMC at 724-357-8171.

    Faculty and staff members are encouraged to contact the Office of Human Resources, 724-357-2431, with information on any wellness opportunities on campus or in the community.

    Faculty, managers, SPFPA, OPEIU, and coaches and their covered spouse/same-sex domestic partner who are enrolled in the Highmark PPO plan can also earn Healthy U Points through participation in certain campus and community wellness programs.
