Culinary Phase One Orientation takes place at the Hadley Union Building on the IUP main campus in Indiana, Pennsylvania on August 10, 2012. Summer classes are in session on this day, and parking meters and restrictions are being enforced. Parking options for Phase One Orientation include pay by space, metered, and free shuttle parking at the R&P lot.
IUP Paid Parking within walking distance of the HUB (available on a first-come, first-served basis):
- HUB lot, Pay by Space parking (identified by yellow painted lines)
- Esch lot, Pay by Space parking (identified by yellow painted lines)
If you park in an IUP Pay by Space spot, park your vehicle, note the space number, and find the pay station to purchase parking. Do not park in white-lined spaces or reserved spaces; your vehicle will be ticketed.
Indiana Borough Paid Parking within walking distance of the HUB
- Church Street lot between Eighth and Ninth streets, Municipal Pay by Space
- Metered parking on streets adjacent to the university such as School Street, South Avenue, Locust Street (quarters required)
Cost for paid parking is 25 cents for thirty minutes; estimated paid parking cost for orientation (5-6 hours) is $3.00.
Free Shuttle Parking
R&P Lot; vans will run between the R&P lot and the HUB between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m and again at the end of orientation. If you choose this parking option, please drop off your student and other guests at the HUB before parking the car at the R&P lot. This will help reduce waiting time for shuttle transportation.
