You will be part of a cohort in the C&I program, meaning you will begin your coursework with those admitted to the program during the same semester. You will progress through your coursework in the same sequence, as a group, until you complete all required classes.
New cohorts begin in the Fall semester. The D.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction is offered at two sites: IUP’s main campus in Indiana, Pa., and IUP at Monroeville, near Pittsburgh.
IUP Main Campus
- New students are admitted to main campus cohorts during even-numbered years (e.g., 2010, 2012, 2014).
- It is possible to enroll prior to the start of the fall cohort and complete the six credits of electives.
- International students can be considered for admission to the program offered only at main campus.
IUP at Monroeville
- New students are admitted to IUP at Monroeville cohorts during odd-numbered years (e.g., 2011, 2013, 2015).
- It is possible to enroll prior to the start of the fall cohort and complete the six credits of electives.
- International students may not enroll at the off-campus site.
