Marla Sabo

Marla Sabo went from the small Cambria County coal town of Colver to the fashion houses of Paris. Her fashion career began at Brody Brothers department store and didn’t stop—even after taking the helm at Christian Dior Couture Americas. As president and chief operating officer, Marla quintupled her unit’s business, taking the number of stores from nineteen to fifty-six. Read more about Marla Sabo.
Chad Hurley

As an IUP student in the late nineties, Chad Hurley didn’t focus on finding a career that would make him a lot of money. Last fall, Hurley and his partner sold YouTube, the video-sharing website they developed and launched in late 2005, to Google for $1.65 billion. Hurley continues to serve as YouTube’s chief executive officer, while partner Steve Chen is chief technology officer. Read more about Chad Hurley.

When Bill Powell came to IUP, he was one of only seven African-American students attending the school. This Education major is now the most highly placed minority manager within General Motors Corporation.
