Classic summer weather was the setting for the first Picnic in the Grove for new IUP president Mike Driscoll and his wife, Becky, newly transplanted from Alaska, along with their son, Greg, on break from the University of Alaska Anchorage. (Daughter Katie was in Alaska.) Many members of the university and town communities gathered to meet the Driscolls. There was time, too, to catch up with friends, enjoy a tasty buffet, tap a toe to DJ Ken Ciroli, and soak up the sun.
