About the Multicultural Information Center

The Multicultural Information Center was established in 2002 as a committee of the Admissions office at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

It consists of minority students from various organizations and departments on campus:

• African American Cultural Center
• Black Student League
• Black Emphasis Committee
• IUP Athletics
• Voices of Joy Gospel Choir
• Learning Enhancement Center
• Robert E. Cook Honors College
• College of Education and Educational Technology
• Eberly College of Business and Information Technology
• African American Fraternities and Sororities
• College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

Mission

The mission of the Multicultural Information Center is to introduce prospective and incoming minority students to faculty, staff, and students.

In addition, the MIC exposes new students to resources, programs, organizations, and support services that enrich the minority community at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
