How Does Summer Care Work?

Summer 2015 Information

Summer care: Monday, May 11, to Friday, August 7 (closed weekends, Memorial Day, and Independence Day)

RN Consultation available 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (limited services)

Physician hours: Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment

All summer health charges are based upon the services and products needed by each student. There are no mandatory Wellness Fees charged for summer. Students must have a valid IUP Banner account and be registered for current summer or future fall credits to be eligible for care during the summer. Students who have graduated are no longer eligible to receive clinical services. Most care is provided on a “per visit” cost of $35.

Medications are not included in the visit fees. Students may either purchase medications at the Health Service or may ask for a prescription. Self-Care Cold Center medications and Self-Care Wound Clinic Supplies are available at no cost for registered students. (No visit fee if the self-care center is used.)

Medications cannot be returned once they leave the building.
