Freshmen: How to
Register for Orientation

Orientation is required for all incoming freshmen - register now!

Our online registration system is offline for scheduled maintenance. We expect it to be back online by midday Saturday, September 20. At that time, you will be able to complete your online registration.

You’ve been accepted to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) — Congratulations!

The fall semester begins Monday, August 25, 2014. The next step on your road to becoming an IUP student is Orientation! The LAST orientation for entering Indiana campus freshmen for fall is Thursday and Friday, August 21–22, 2014. It is through Orientation ONLY that you take your placement tests, are advised, and register for your fall classes. In addition, you begin to learn the procedures, benefits, and resources available to you as an IUP student!

Enrolling for Orientation

To register, follow the link to Freshmen: How to Register for Orientation. (Note that there is no Parent Orientation for late Orientation.)

Placement Test Information and FAQ

You can find placement test information on the Orientation Placement Test site or on the FAQ page as well as on the “Confirming Your Orientation” page.

Freshman Residential Student Residence Hall Check-In

Residence hall check-in for students participating in Late Orientation (if you have contracted to live in an IUP residence hall) takes place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Details will be provided by the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining. Meal plans begin on Thursday, August 21, 2014, so please bring money ($8–10) for dinner in the dining hall or to go to a local restaurant.

Disability Support and Testing Accommodations

IUP is committed to serving students with disabilities. Access and accommodations provided during Orientation are separate from those provided when you are a student. Thus, if you have a disability, in addition to indicating needs on the Orientation enrollment form, complete and return the Declaration of Disability form.

We look forward to receiving your Orientation enrollment form, and will send confirmation information to you approximately 10 days before Orientation. If you have any questions about Orientation, e-mail See you at Orientation!
