About Technology Support and Training

Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Technology Support and Training is to provide exemplary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for the professional success of students. To achieve this goal, we encourage and foster teaching excellence, conduct research in business-related fields, and provide service to the university, to the community, and to professional organizations.

We strive to:

  1. Expedite the achievement of the goals and mission of the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology
  2. Provide quality education through a curriculum that:
    1. is student centered
    2. is current and relevant to meet the changing needs of the workforce
    3. is comprehensive and characterized by varied delivery systems
    4. is reflective of the impact of technological advances in the workplace and society in general
    5. fosters an environment of lifelong learning
    6. develops leadership and interpersonal skills necessary for personal and professional growth
    7. exposes students to various career opportunities in business, education, and related fields
  3. Conduct research in new as well as traditional areas relevant to business to develop new methodology and curriculum, and to disseminate meaningful findings through presentations and publications
  4. Serve our communities, the university, and professional organizations through active participation in business- and education-related programs such as conferences, committees, and presentations
