Important “To Do” List

    • Be sure to complete all items on the Human Resources on-boarding website NEOGOV.com by the deadlines specified. If you have questions, contact Beth Fleek at Beth.Fleek@iup.edu.

    • Check with your department office to see if there is important information and/or documents waiting for you. You should contact your chair or department representative early in the summer for copies of the syllabi of record for each course you are assigned to teach. Each department may have additional welcoming/orientation materials for you.

    • Ask your department chair or department secretary or administrative assistant about computer equipment and keys for your use.

    • An e-mail account is created for you when Human Resources processes your appointment forms and you make the visit to HR with your photo ID and Social Security card. The IT Support Center website, offers on-line documentation for the academic community.

    • The I-9 form may be completed remotely, if need be. Human Resource representatives will be present during New Faculty Orientation on August 22 and 23 from 8:00–8:30 a.m. to review unexpired photo ID and Social Security cards.

    • Get your I-Card at the I-Card Office, Hadley Union Building. We recommend you do this before students arrive on campus, as the line will be very long! Your I-Card may need to be activated at the IUP Libraries in order to use some of their services. Consider whether to pay the student activities fee, which entitles you to take advantage of cultural and recreational programs, activities, and facilities offered by the Student Cooperative Association at discounted prices.

    • Get your IUP parking permit, through MyIUP (after logging in, click on Campus Services, IUP Parking Account, and the employee tab). The permit will be mailed to you.
