Center for Teaching Excellence
The mission of the Center for Teaching Excellence is to foster the enhancement of teaching excellence in all its forms. We seek to provide constructive and developmental mechanisms for nurturing the excellence in teaching which already exists at IUP. These mechanisms will honor our differences and build on our strengths.
- 2008 New Faculty Orientation
- New Faculty Orientation introduces new faculty members to the university and community and explores topics such as diversity, teaching, and learning.
- Workshops
- The Center for Teaching Excellence offers many workshops to the campus community relating to teaching and pedagogy.
- Reflective Practice Project
- The Reflective Practice Project promotes effective teaching through the use of workshops, monthly meetings, and small “teaching circles.”
