Summer Scholars Academy

Take advantage of a $3,200, four-year Summer Scholars Academy Scholarship.*

July 7–August 7, 2014

Summer scholarship opportunities are available each summer for four years of summer study.

Live in one of the newest suite-style residence facilities on campus, Wallwork Hall, while you complete seven credits of in-demand coursework required of all majors in specially chosen courses open only to our high-achieving incoming students who are Sutton Scholars, members of the Robert E. Cook Honors College and our Promising Scholars.

A variety of academic enrichment programs, including finals preparation and study sessions; a service-learning project; recreational and outdoor adventures; and field trips to regional attractions such as Ohiopyle, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, and the Pittsburgh Zoo, will be offered free of charge as part of the Academy programming (depending on group interest).

Courses Will be Offered in Six Different Interest Areas:

  • Global Multicultural Awareness
  • Fine Arts
  • Health and Wellness
  • English
  • History
  • Math

*Plus an Emerging Leaders course.

Cost: less than $3,500, which includes your scholarship, tuition, housing, meal plan, and five weeks of activities.

The Summer Scholars Academy is limited to first 50 students who register.
