Sutton Scholars Program

The Admissions Office gives exceptional incoming, in-state students priority consideration for some of the most rewarding scholarships available from IUP through the Sutton Scholars program.

To ensure consideration, students must:

• Apply for admission to IUP by October 31
• Have at least a 3.25 GPA
• Score 1050 or higher on the SAT critical reading and math sections or a 23 on the ACTs
• Be a PA resident

Two scholarships are awarded: the Sutton Scholarship and the Board of Governors Scholarship.

Note: Meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee a scholarship, only consideration. Applicants will be invited to a Sutton Scholars interview event on campus.

The Sutton Scholars program and the scholarships awarded through it are managed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students may be eligible for other scholarships awarded at the university regardless of participation in the Sutton Scholars program.
