Family Takes Care of Each Other.
Whether you teach, coach, clean, make decisions, make repairs, patrol the campus, or counsel students—you are part of the unique IUP family. When you support IUP through gifts to the Foundation for IUP, you make a strong statement. You demonstrate that you believe in your work and IUP's mission. When many members of the university family contribute, it sends a message to alumni and to those in Harrisburg that we care, that we are dedicated to our cause, and that we are, in turn, worthy of their support.
Giving is easy and can be personally rewarding. You can make a gift through payroll deduction—as little as a dollar a pay. You can write a check and send it in campus mail. Or, you can make a credit card transaction. See one student's story on how donations like yours are used.
How you do it and what area of the campus benefits is up to you, but please know that if we pull together and exceed the number of donors we had last year, we will be rewarded. You might choose to give to the Fund for IUP, the Sutton Scholarship, or to your own department or area of interest.
What matters is most is that you give.
Because of Performance Measures, Gifts Have More Impact than Ever!
Here’s something members of the family need to know…
If the number of individual donations to support IUP programs and students increases this year, we stand to be rewarded additional budget money from PASSHE. You’ve heard about performance measures, right? Last year, because we did so well at meeting them, IUP received a performance award of $5.1 million. This year, one of the measures challenges us to increase the number of people who give to IUP.
Think about that: Your gift this year can help IUP receive a higher allocation. The more people who give, the better chance we stand of receiving that allocation. Your gift also can be applied to any program on campus—including any department’s programs and scholarships. You can direct your gift to benefit anything at IUP.
We are telling alumni about this excellent opportunity, and it’s important for our immediate family to know, too.
