The Crisis Assessment and Response Team (CART) exists to supports students at risk.
For the purposes of the CART, a “student at risk” is one who may pose a potential threat to him or herself and/or to others. Paramount within the CART model is the following goals:
- Actively and accurately identifying students at risk
- Designing and implementing effective intervention strategies to support students at risk and other affected members of the University community.
- Assessing and responding to campus environment issues to proactively attend to the well-being of all members of the University community.
The CART members meet on a biweekly and as-needed basis and otherwise communicate and collaborate in an ongoing fashion.
