Course List—Education of Exceptional Persons, MEd

Students working towards the Education of Exceptional Persons degree may select a thesis or non-thesis option at an appropriate point in their program of studies. 

Students will select electives after consulting with their advisors. The non-thesis option will consist of an additional two electives. 

The required courses for this track include the following: 

  • EDEX 558: Vocational Preparation and Transition for Youth with Disabilities (3 credits)
  • EDEX 752: Assessment of Persons with Disabilities (3 credits)
  • EDEX 753: Research Seminar in Special Education (3 credits)
  • EDEX 754: Advanced Instruction Design in Special Education (3 credits)
  • EDEX 755: Professional Collaboration and Team Building for Special Educators (3 credits)
  • EDEX 560: Family Perspectives (3 credits) 
  • EDEX 615: Elements of Research (3 credits) 
  • EDEX 785: Practicum and Internship (3 credits) 
  • Elective (3 credits) 
  • Elective or Thesis EDEX 795 (3 credits)
