The Office of Social Equity and Civic Engagement will cosponsor the twelfth annual conference being presented by the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education (PA-NAME) on March 26–27, 2010.

IUP’s Native American Awareness Council (NAAC) will be celebrating American Indian Heritage month on November 7, 2009, in the Delaware Room at the Hadley Union Building from noon to 5:00 p.m.

IUP will be the host site for the PASSHE Social Equity and Human Resources videoconference training on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. The program will consist of three hours of training on the Safe Zone program.

The second annual Supplier Diversity Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, in the HUB’s Ohio Room. This is a community support initative intended to develop more and better opportunities for women and minority suppliers to gain access to procurement opportunities at IUP.

The President’s Commission on the Status of Women at IUP, Women’s Studies, and the PASSHE Women’s Consortium invite all students and employees to join us at a reception honoring all women on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Breezedale Alumni Center.

Creativity and Change: Women Shaping the Future is the theme of this year’s 2009 PASSHE Women's Consortium Annual Conference which is being held November 5th and 6th at West Chester University.

The IUP Native American Awareness Council is sponsoring a one-day bus trip to the 2009 Seneca Allegany Pow Wow in Veterans Park, Salamanca, N.Y., on Saturday, July 18, 2009. The cost is $35 per person.
