Diversity Peer Educator Program

  • The Office of Social Equity is looking for ambitious, energetic, social justice advocates to become members of the Diversity Peer Educator Program. You can make a difference on campus!

Students benefit from diversity and multicultural training, diverse group interaction, and the creation of an inclusive campus environment. The program was initiated at IUP during the 2013–14 academic year. It expanded in 2014–15 and included presentations at the IUP Punxsutawney campus. Program topics included “How to Identify Sexism,” “The World through LGBT Eyes,” and “What does Race Mean to You?” Events, retreats, and presentations were again conducted during the 2015–16 academic year. Multiple presentations have already been given in fall 2016–17, and events are in the planning stages for the spring semester.
