SECA 2011—“I Give Because…”

The State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA) is the annual charitable giving campaign for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employees. The 2011 SECA campaign kicks off on September 19 and runs through November 4, 2011.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “I give because...” We all have different reasons for giving and causes we care deeply about. With nearly 1,400 nonprofit agencies participating in SECA, you can easily find organizations whose missions align with your personal values serving local, regional, national, and global needs and causes.

Everyone contributing will be eligible for prizes, including tickets for Fisher and KCAC performances, Oak Room lunches, basketball season tickets, Co-Op gift certificates, a year-long reserved parking spot, and the Oak Grove Commemorative Box.

Those donating $4/week or $208 per year to the Indiana County United Way will also qualify for their incentive prizes: $10,000 towards a vehicle at one of four Indiana dealerships, a deluxe gas grill, and a 42” LED/HD TV.

Why Give through SECA?: Supporting charities through payroll deduction makes giving easier and less painful.
How Do I Give?: SECA provides several ways to make a tax-deductible contribution to the charity(ies) of your choice: payroll deduction; check, money order, or cash; credit card.
SECA Pledge Form: Employees may make a pledge to the State Employees Combined Appeal by using this form.
