    Undergraduate Minor in Educational Psychology

    The Educational and School Psychology Department supports students who will be working with children and adolescents through the fields of education and school psychology.

    Undergraduate Level

    We help aspiring educators earn teaching credentials for all grade levels and across all academic disciplines.

    Graduate Level

    Our NASP-approved school psychology certification program is designed to address students’ professional competencies to work as certified school psychologists. Students may also further enhance their skills in our School Psychology PhD Program. Students with a bachelor’s degree or above may apply to this program.

    Practica

    All our graduate students gain critical experience via practica experiences. These practica take place on-site in our Child Study Center and off-site in

    • public schools,
    • Head Start facilities,
    • partial hospitalization programs, and
    • other educational settings.

    Research

    Students can also collaborate with faculty on research projects. Topics have included

    • positive behavior support,
    • violence,
    • school-based mental health,
    • early childhood intervention, and
    • traumatic brain injuries.

    Faculty

    Our faculty members are school psychologists and educational professionals with strong research agendas. They have extensive experience consulting with various educational, behavioral, and mental health organizations.
