The Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) is pleased to announce the 2009 recipient of the Nancy Newkerk Scholarship: Brynn E. Cunningham.

Dr. Linda M. Hall, associate professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, presented two sessions at the Pennsylvania College Personnel Association annual conference on October 19, 2009.

Dr. John Wesley Lowery, associate professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, presented recently on FERPA and Student Affairs as part of FERPAnar on October 22, 2009. FERPAnar was a one-day on-line conference focused on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.

Dr. John A. Mueller, associate professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, and Jamie K. Guilford of King’s College (SAHE alumnus, 2008) presented at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania College Personnel Association on October 19, 2009.

Dr. John Wesley Lowery, associate professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, presented a paper at the History of Education Society Annual Meeting with Karen Boyd, dean of Student Affairs at Carnegie Mellon University.

Bradley M. Webb, graduate of the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, and Dr. John A. Mueller have an article in the most recent issue of Oracle: The Research Journal of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors.

Dr. John Wesley Lowery, associate professor of Student Affairs in Higher Education, presented a national webinar in 2009 sponsored by the Council on Law in Higher Education,“The New Federal Campus Safety Requirements: From Fire Safety, Clery, to Notifying Parents of Emergencies under FERPA.”
