Congratulations go out to Tracey Cekada, Department of Safety Sciences, on being named one of the 100 Women Making a Difference in the Safety, Health, and Environmental Profession in November 2011.

The American Society of Safety Engineers is once again going to place an order for Safety Sciences t-shirts, hoodies, and camo hats.

Beginning in Fall 2012, the Safety Sciences Department will offer a B.S. in Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences, rather than a B.S. degree in Safety Sciences.

The Deppartment of Safety Sciences, in collaboration with the Alcoa Foundation and  other sponsors, will host a Fatality Prevention Forum on October 29-30, 2012.

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Board of Governors approved IUP’s Doctor of Philosophy in Safety Sciences program on October 6, 2011.
