2016 Safety Sciences Career Fair

The Department of Safety Sciences will hold its annual Career Fair on Thursday, October 13, and Friday, October 14, 2016. The fair will take place at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC).

Schaal Presents Dissertation on Links of Heavy Metal Exposure to Hearing Loss

Lt. Nicholas "Cody" Schaal, IUP Safety doctoral graduate, presented his dissertation research at the U.S. Army Madigan Medical Center’s Research Day. His study revealed links of heavy metal exposure to hearing loss in U.S. Navy personnel at Bremerton Naval Shipyard.

Safety Sciences’ First PhD Graduate

The first Safety Sciences doctoral candidate, Nicholas “Cody” Schaal, successfully defended his dissertation, titled “Effect of Heavy Metal Exposures on Hearing Loss Among Shipyard Personnel,” on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2016.
