ROTC Training Program Scheduled for March 24

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’sROTC program will stage a training exercise on campus on March 24 from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. around Pierce Hall and Zink Hall. The ROTC cadets will be training in workout wear and will be carrying black practice rifles with orange tips.

IUP Campus Site of ROTC Training Event February 9

IUP’sROTC program will stage a training exercise on campus on February 9 from, 2:00 to5:00 p.m., around Pierce Hall, Miller Stadium, and the R&P parking lot. The ROTC cadets will be carryingplastic, blue props that look like rifles and will be in fatigues (uniformsmade from camouflage material).

TheU.S. Army Cadet Command has announced that Indiana University of Pennsylvania’sArmy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program has won a MacArthur Award,given to the top programs in the country, for the 2013–14 school year.

Military Science Fraternity Supporting Sleep Out to Help Homeless Veterans

From Saturday, March 14, at 8:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 15, at 8:00 a.m., members of Rho Tau Chi, Theta Chi, and IUP ROTC will be holding a “Sleep Out” in front of Wal-Mart to raise awareness and accept donations for homeless veterans in Pennsylvania.

December 2014 ROTC Commissioning Ceremony

Truby Donates Collection of Books, Historical Documents to Military Science Department

The Military Science Department library is richer by more than 300 books and historical documents, thanks to a donation by J. David Truby, professor emeritus of Journalism and U.S. Army veteran.

Indiana Police Say ROTC Cadet Saved Man’s Life

Indiana Borough Police Chief William Sutton has recognized an IUP ROTC cadet for rendering assistance during a medical emergency in downtown Indiana during the Veterans Day parade on November 11, 2011.
