The faculty and staff of the Psychology Department welcome you to our website. We will provide you with timely and useful information about our course offerings, registration information for the coming semester, programs of study, our achievements, and the field of psychology.
The department offers an undergraduate program in Psychology that leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree. At the graduate level, a Psy.D. degree (Doctor of Psychology) is offered in the field of clinical psychology. Our program’s “Full Disclosure” data is available with one click!
At the undergraduate level, students gain an understanding of the methods and findings that characterize psychology as the science of behavior and mental processes. An honors track and programs leading to a minor in Psychology provide students with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in the field of psychology that best suit diverse needs and aspirations.
Academic advising for freshman students is conducted in the Academic Development Center, while other students should see their advisor.
The department offers a range of practicum experiences to help students gain experience, clarify interests, and apply knowledge. IUP’s chapter of Psi Chi, the honor society for psychology, provides recognition and opportunities for eligible students. You can get some forms you need through the dean’s office, and forms related to your major are also available on this website.
