As an integral part of the College of Education and Educational Technology, the Professional Studies in Education Department is committed to high-quality scholarship for pre-service and in-service educators. The department provides programming for educators of all levels and is committed to the preparation of teachers and administrators who think creatively and critically, who have an in-depth knowledge of the world we live in, and who are skilled in the use of technology and sensitive to the technological needs of the future.
Within the PSE Department, there are two undergraduate programs, three master’s degree programs, two doctoral programs, and a non-degree program leading to Pennsylvania certification as and elementary/secondary school principal. See programs of study for more information.
