IUP President Tony Atwater invites university employees to the 2009 Holiday Open House. The event will be Thursday, December 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Blue Room, Sutton Hall.

The university community is reminded that the 2009 First Commonwealth Endowed Lecture featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward will take place Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. Free tickets can be obtained at the Hadley Union Building ticket office.

This weekend, hundreds of families will be on campus for our annual Family Weekend celebration. The celebration also honors our veterans and active duty military personnel, with all members and former members of the military admitted free to the football game.

Shawn Williams, 21, of Lucernemines (near Homer City), a student in the College of Health and Human Services, died Sunday, October 18, 2009. The president shares his concern and sympathy for Shawn’s friends and family.
