The Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment, the Commission on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues, the Office of Social Equity and Civic Engagement, the Office of Internal Review, President’s Commission on Reducing Student Substance Abuse, the President’s Commission on the Status of Women, and the John P. Murtha Institute for Homeland Security all report directly to the president, as do the provost and vice president for Academic Affairs and the vice presidents for Administration and Finance, Student Affairs, and University Relations.
IUP is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and, as such, has a direct reporting line to the system’s chancellor. IUP also is governed by the Council of Trustees, which meets during four scheduled meetings on campus and then at other times as needed. One of the dutiies of the President’s Office is to act as liaison and contact point to these entities.
