IUP’s philosophy program is diverse, offering a wide range of approaches to philosophy. Our goal is to introduce students to a number of philosophers, so they can consider differing points of view and learn to evaluate ideas clearly, critically, and independently. The program prepares students for graduate study in philosophy, and, through a unique philosophy/pre-law program, for the professional study of law.
