The following faculty and staff form the Pan-African Studies Committee. Members of this committee teach courses, plan events, and shape policy for Pan-African Studies at IUP.
The Pan-African Studies Committee gratefully acknowledges the contributions of our colleague Dr. Caroll Mills Young, who departed this life on September 25, 2006. Dr. Young taught in the Department of Spanish, conducted research on the literature and culture of Afro-Hispanic peoples, and served IUP and the academic community in many other capacities. Dr. Young helped to establish the Pan-African Studies minor program in the mid-1990s, and she worked on the PAS Committee for over a decade. Her vitality as an educator, researcher, and mentor was and is truly an inspiration."
