Swim Class Description

See below for detailed descriptions of lessons for Parent/Tot, White, Grey, and Crimson Classes offered in Summer 2012!


This is a water orientation class for children where the parent accompanies the child in the water. (Six months to two years)


This is a beginner-level class for children that have either passed parent/tot or are between the ages of three to five years of age with little to no past water experience. This class focuses on floating, beginning kicks, and learning necessary skills to swim by oneself during the front and back crawl.


This class if for children that have passed the white-level instruction, or those that are five years of age and older that have little to no past water experience. The class will focus on beginner instructional swimming. Class focuses on front crawl, floating, and correct technique for swimming on one’s own.


This class is for those who can already swim and/or have taken white- and grey-level courses. This class focuses on different strokes, including freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. The class also focuses on refining technique.
