Transfer Students
- For those students choosing to stay the night before the program in the program residence hall, residence check-in takes place between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the evening before the program at Putt Hall. Please eat dinner before arrival.
- Students choosing to stay the night before the program in the residence hall must bring twin bedding, pillow, blanket or other cover, towels, toiletries, and a change of clothing (casual is fine) for the overnight stay in the residence hall.
- For students who have been assigned to math placement testing, program check-in begins at 7:15 a.m. in the Lobby of the HUB (Hadley Union Building).
- All other transfer students: Program check-in is in the HUB Lobby at 8:00 a.m.
- The transfer Orientation program begins at 8:30 a.m.
- Lunch is included in the transfer student orientation fee.
- Early arrivals and students who stayed the night before in the program residence hall may eat breakfast in Foster Dining Hall, opening at 7:00 a.m., at a charge of approximately $6.50.
- Students should bring an umbrella, $10 for snacks (including quarters for vending), and a calculator if taking the math placement exam.
- Students’ Orientation fee, and bill for housing, if selected, will be added to their 2013 Fall bill.
Parents and Family Members
- Early residence hall check-in takes place between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the evening before the program at Delaney Hall. Please eat dinner before arrival.
- Parents should then report to Stouffer Hall (first floor, lobby) between 7:45 a.m.–8:45 a.m. for program check-in. The first speaker will begin at 8:45 a.m.
- Continental breakfast of coffee, juice, bagels, and muffins will be available at the beginning of each day and late afternoon refreshments will be provided.
- A meal voucher for lunch will be provided at program check-in.
- Parents should plan to pay the $40 per person orientation fee upon check-in if they have not already done so via online enrollment. Computers will be available at on-site check-in for parents to enroll who were unable to do so previously.
- Parents who choose to reside in the residence hall should plan to pay the $34 per person, per night, residence hall fee upon residence hall check-in if they have not already done so via online enrollment. Computers will be available at on-site check-in for parents to enroll who were unable to do so previously.
Parking Information
During Orientation, students may park free of charge at unreserved spaces (space numbers 282–425). These spaces are located on the third and fourth floors of the parking garage. If you did not receive a parking pass in the mail, we will have one available for you when you arrive on campus.
Other than the unreserved spaces on the third and fourth floors of the IUP parking garage, if you choose to park at a meter—or pay-by-space location—either on campus or in town, you must put coins in the meter, or you will receive a ticket.
Handicapped Parking
Persons with a handicapped license plate or placard and those with a special parking permit are permitted to park in handicapped spaces.

Pittsburgh Airport
Fullington Trailways offers transportation from the Pittsburgh International Airport to Indiana. One-way fare is $29.80 per person. Fullington Trailways accepts cash and can be reached by calling 724-463-0213 or toll-free at 1-800-942-8287. The daily bus leaves the Pittsburgh International Airport at 2:30 p.m. each day and arrives in Indiana between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Please call for exact locations on where to get the bus at the airport.
Bus Service
Several national bus lines service Indiana. Buses arrive at University Square I, Suite 2040, 1176 Grant St. in Indiana (724-463-0213 or toll-free at 1-800-942-8287). Red and White Taxi Service can be reached at 724-463-0270. Taxi service is from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., or by appointment.
