Award Management

The Research Institute provides award administration support and program/project management services for faculty and staff conducting externally funding projects.

Each college and campus unit has been assigned a grant and contract specialist to serve as their single point of award administration. Your grant and contract specialist can assist you with establishing a Sponsored Project Account; hiring project staff, graduate assistants, and undergraduate student workers; purchasing materials and supplies; processing subawards, consulting agreements, and other procurements; scheduling project deliverables and reports; processing change orders, no-cost extensions, and budget modifications; closing out your award; and managing all of your sponsored research regulatory compliance requirements.

Whether you are a first-time funding recipient or an experienced principal investigator, we encourage you contact your cognizant grant and contract specialist as soon as you learn of your award.
